The song in this player is I Am the Walrus
(Beatles cover) by Charlie Faege (I played all parts).
This is one of my all time favorite Beatles songs.
Click the picture for a 90 track selection of my recordings from the 1960's to 2013: (my apologies! The host decided to make it just five tracks!)

Following is something of a Charlie Faege bio......
:
1967-69: Played folk music along with my own music in Gaslight Square, St. Louis, MO. Also played on downtown street corners; bass for a 9 piece soul band called THE ENTERTAINERS, THE PHANTOM FOUR, THE ACOUSTICS, THE DEVASTATORS, STEVE & THE SHUTDOWNS; drums in THE X-CELLS as I learned the technique of synchronizing three tape recorders to produce pseudo multi-channel recordings. In 1967 formed THE BEASTLY CONSPIRATORS OF SUCH, playing guitar, oil drums and "prepared" tape recorder. Bandmembers included Kent Baue, Jim Smitt & Kent Rader.
Formed THE JOINT SESSION, a 3 piece group which was my first to exclusively feature my original music, save for my "acid rock/psychedelic" renderings of pop tunes. In 1968 I joined a popular St. Louis group;
Marty Dunard Bob "R.B." Bank Charlie Faege Carl Hasse
THE OFFSHORE MOVEMENT; and by June 1969, OFFSHORE MOVEMENT were performing three hour sets of my music in St. Louis and surrounding area clubs (The Castaways, Electric Circus, Rainy Daze, etc.). The group opened for a number of major concert bands, including Muddy Waters, The Flock, Rotary Connection, Albert King, Illinois Speed Press, John Lee Hooker, et al; and received support from St. Louis radio stations KSHE and KADI - and had an enthusiastic following.
1970-79: Formed CHUCK PHONY with Bob Bank from Offshore Movement and members of THE ACID SET, Bill Marshall and Calvin Smith. I also continued to play acoustic guitar and harmonica in college coffeehouses.
In late 1971 briefly joined with San Francisco's IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAYs' Linda LaFlamme as their harmonica player in TITUS' MOTHER. Joined a prototype PAVLOV'S DOG and left before they signed with Columbia Records. In 1974 began teaching myself keyboards on a upright French grand piano, Elka string machine and Mini-Moog. This was in addition to my experience on a Silvertone chord organ (hold down the loud oohs and applause. please). Made tape "OF THIS URTH" and used the group name PLANET URTH, played keyboards, guitar and vocals, with some friends including Jim Stonebraker, Gary Diel & Dave Filman helping on a few tracks and I did the parts for the other tracks myself. I received response by Royal Mail from BILL BRUFORD (drummer for YES, KING CRIMSON, UK) to a tape Dave Filman got to him while he was playing in St. Louis with UK. He evaluated the music thoroughly, all the while urging me to persevere. It really did help!
1980-84: My first PLANET URTH, a progressive trio, consisted of Greg Mills on virtuoso-prodigy keyboards and Thom Meyer on drums, with myself on keyboards, bass, guitar and the vocal. Began working with THE AMERICAN WAY (with Elf/BLACK SABBATH/Richie Blackmore drummer). In October joined THE Z BROTHERS. Recorded first album of my music, "HUG THE WIND". Became associated with Star Marie, managing editor of CONCERT SCENE MAGAZINE. She contacted several record companies in my behalf. I wrote articles and reviews for CONCERT SCENE and also for STAGE PASS. Also gigged and recorded with another PLANET URTH with Dan Leonard and Lance Garger. Did work for Clayton Studios in St. Louis, recording for radio & TV commercials. In 1984 joined with band FULL HOUSE, coming soon to a Six Flags Ramada Inn near you twenty years ago.
1985-89: In April 1985 joined THE AGENTS. Played various clubs in Laclede's Landing, St. Louis. After they broke up, I formed HOI POLLOI, added digital sequence recording plus rack of digital synthesizers to existing equipment. HOI POLLOI disbanded (read about it in Gigs From Hell above left link). I immediately joined St. Louis' FANFARE as their guitarist (& had a lot less equipment to haul and assemble/disassemble). Yamaha's AFTERTOUCH MAGAZINE published two of my programs for Yamaha DX7 synthesizer and my subsequent articles on modulation controlled velocity, et al.
Recorded commercials for RALSTON PURINA as I continued to master the possibilities of credit cards. Left FANFARE, played with old friend Bob Bosch and took temporary job as sound technician for NETWORK.
KEYBOARD MAGAZINE ran a feature article in their November 1988 issue, opened several interesting doors and made some international friends as result. Began construction of my recording studio.
1990-92: Completed URTH STUDIO (the nicest room in the house). Began work on CD of my music, performing all parts, produced, mixed, mastered, titled, "THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY". Recorded for McDONNELL-DOUGLAS' (now Boeing) COMPUTER ANIMATION/MOTION PICTURE DEPT.
1991 article in the St.Louis POST-DISPATCH.
Received more letters of encouragement from BILL BRUFORD and also KATE BUSH. Completed "IMAGINARY THEMES FOR GUITAR & KEYBOARD". Performed as solo act at Patricks, St. Louis.
1993: Guest appearance/performances on a cable video call-in show. The show's producer had contacted me after he purchased my "PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY" CD. Rearranged "IMAGINARY THEMES FOR GUITAR & KEYBOARD" into "DIARY OF DREAMS". Completed another CD prototype titled "ACCIDENTS" (alternative/pop/rock) and several videos from each of the CD's. The torrid tempos of "ACCIDENTS" were written to be polar opposites to the mostly soothing, somewhat healing nature of Imaginary Themes. Sold keyboard samples for the Ensoniq EPS to RUBBER CHICKEN SOFTWARE.
1994: Signed contract with worlds largest sound effects company, SOUND IDEAS, in Ontario, Canada. Composed 10 themes (50 tracks) of music in the "Romantic/Pastoral" style for their music production library for use in film, TV and radio industry for their clients located on every continent. Manufactured limited CD editions of "CHARLIE FAEGE & THE OFFSHORE MOVEMENT THE EARLY RECORDINGS, VOL. I", "DIARY OF DREAMS", "RELICS" and "ACCIDENTS".
1995: Released "ACCIDENTS" and "IMAGINARY THEMES, VOL. I" . IMAGINARY THEMES received airplay from St. Louis Radio Stations KDHX -FM, KCLC-FM and Classic 99 (KFUO) FM, Saint Louis . Completed "FORBIDDEN & ACCEPTABLE THEMES" CD. Sales on "Imaginary Themes" made next project possible. Also completed first novel, "Evertil Infinate".
1996-97: Released "IMAGINARY THEMES, VOL. I & II", a two disc CD set. Guitar Performance CD for sampling from titled "MUST BE PRESENT TO ATTEND", "TRANCES" , "STRANGE POPPIES", ORCHESCAPES" and "ASPECTS of URTH" were also completed. I also was able to save a lot of money by switching insurance companies... (just seeing if anyone's paying attention)
1998-2005: I haven't bothered documenting these years for this bio as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) started working on me, even though I wasn't fully aware of what was going on until 2001. Please see "Links" above left for information on MS. Released "Imaginary Themes, Volumes 1, 2 & 3" and several more books. Currently, there are a total of 41 CDs of Charlie Faege original music and recordings on Push & Pull Digital Records. I am still recording and getting around with a cane because it looks so cool.
2006: Writing, assembling, re-mastering, recording, performing, compiling and segueing tracks for new double CD for fall release. The tracks dwell in pop rock, progressive rock, folk and spoken word genres. Also working on an album of original music in the style of folk music on acoustic instruments including harp, steel and nylon string guitar, 20-string harpguitar, mandolin, 4-5 and 6 string banjos, sitar, tanpura, tabla, Chinese Gu zheng, harmonica and fretless bass guitar. I will update here when things are ready to go. Having multiple sclerosis makes schedules nearly impossible and I don't want to push any envelopes -- I only want to lick them. There are also times when one must certainly need to stamp envelopes too.
2007-2014 The project of 2006 has not died, it just went to sleep for a while and am recording with Tricky Dogs at URTHStudio. There are many piles of music and space is at a premium, but necessarily crammed with the instruments I play. This is a glimpse into about 1/3 of URTHStudio.
I followed the crumbs of thought along the reverb trails..." impalpable CJF quote regarding writing and recording music.

Excerpts from the BiGGer Half (c) 2008:
If you write like a thinker you will eventually think like a writer.
When poetry becomes a lost art, art becomes a lost poem… writer wrong, we may never know … one can only hope to be remembered by one's own reputation and that it was for the good one has done to have a reputation at all.
Newsflash?
On an intermission during a Stew Bum concert last night, Stew Bum was making his way through a crowd when he noticed a man wearing what he called an unauthorized Stew Bum Live in Concert t-shirt. Bum pounded the fan to a pulp and picked up a 20 dollar bill that fell from the man’s pocket while getting beaten. Bum told the man, “That’s what you get and that’s how much you owe me for the bootleg shirt.” Mr. Bum was arrested immediately after the concert and lost his shirt in court.
